Piece of Scrap

I've jumped back into the world of scrapbooking, after much too long. I can honestly say these are the FiRsT pictures of Dave and I that i've completed. ever. And we're married!! I feel a little rusty, and I'm in need of some new supplies (amazing how much new stuff comes out in just over a year!) but i'm excited. Dave's cousin's wife Jenn and I spent pretty much ALL afternoon and into the evening Saturday working on these and talking. It was great! We're gonna do it often. These are all honeymoon pictures, and some pages aren't done just yet. I need some cute new things to make them complete!

In need of a quick fix

Since I'm a working woman and take a class on Tuesday nights, I find myself about 3 out of 5 nights a week NOT wanting to cook anything time consuming. Now, I have this wonderful machine called a Crock-Pot, brand new, un-used. Recently it dawned on me...I should take advantage of the fact that something could cook dinner for me while I'm working!

Here's the catch...I need recipes!!

So, here's where you come in. What are some of your favorite crock-pot recipes??

Crazy? Maybe....

If you know Dave, you know that he loves his toys, and the word "toys" encompasses a wide variety of things, such as cars, trucks, jeeps, parts for any of these vehicles, surround sound systems, computers, televisions, and anything that he enjoys. If you know me, you may know that I've always liked toys, just never had the means, or reasons to get them. Until I married my husband. In the last 6 months, we have purchased a new truck, which quickly had exhaust, tint, and a new grill. The lift, tires, and wheels are in the works. We have combined our things to have two iPod's, three computers, two surround sound systems and four digital camera's, two DVD players, I'd like to welcome a new member of our "toy" family....

Our 60" Sony Flat screen T.V. Yes, I know, some of you may be saying "But Sarah...you live in an apartment!" Yes, I know, I know. But, we put much thought into this, and when we buy a home (hopefully in the next year) we won't want to spend $$ on a T.V. It will most likely go towards hardwood flooring, or landscpaing, or couches, or something else....SO, in the meantime, we can enjoy life large, and in HD.

Oh, and I got this cute Media Stand to hold all the goods. I thought it was perfect!

Happy <3 Day

For V-Day, I came home from work to find these beautiful flowers on my kitchen table. Dave did good! I also came home to find that Dave had given himself a little Valentine's day present....New Wheels. He's been wanting, and needing, new ones. The old one's had spacers and were making the tires wear un-evenly and a whole bunch of other mumbo jumbo. SO, now we have pretty shiny Foose wheels, thanks to a hook up at his old job. Then we headed out to Lucille's BBQ, where we met up with Leslie, David, Dan and Coco. Lucky us we called ahead and were seated in less than 10 minutes! Genius. Dinner was delish...or at least I'm guessing it was. My taste buds quit working earlier in the day (and still refuse to cooperate and let me taste anything). After our lovely dinner Dave and I finished off our night with a romantic trip to my favorite place, Target! I don't think I've ever seen it so empty! We left with a new candle holder and candle to put on a little table in our hallway. I'll post pictures of my little space when I finish it this week. I hope everyone else had a

Happy Valentines Day everyone. I write this as I sit at work, bottle of water close by, cough drop in my mouth and tissues by my side. But besides working with children all day and having no voice (which can actually be nice), it's gonna be a good day! We'll see how things go later, but for now the plans are to stay in, make dinner, I'll whip up some cupcakes and goodies, light some candles, and relax. Dinner out tomorrow sounds good to me. I hope everyone has a great day filled with someone or something you love!

I found this perfume at a little place in Uptown Whittier called Pour Le Bain. It smells so crisp and yummy! Mmmm....

The California weather the past few days! It's sunny, warm, but not in a hot overbearing way, and makes me want to be out and about.
