Merry Christmas....(a little late) and Happy New Year!

Christmas was shared between our families this year. We spent Christmas Eve night at Dave's Grandma's with his family, then headed to my parents and Aunt Chrissy's for Christmas afternoon. I enjoyed my extra long weekend of sleeping in and relaxing...and of course spending quality time with family and loved ones!
Dave and I being silly and posing with my aunts tree.

So my Grandma gave us some sweet ice cream scoops...and Dave made it a point to use it as a weapon.

And what would a famliy even be without my Dad sitting in a chair and reading!

New Years was spent with friends and Leslie and David at the Grave's home. I hope everyone has a happy, healthy and fabulous 2008!!!

Ah, Tis The Season!

I love Christmas time! It's by far my favorite. I love Christmas music on the radio, driving around and seeing all the lights, having hot cocoa at night (somehow it's much tastier before Dec. 25th), my Christmas tree in my living room, giving gifts (although I wish I could do SO much more) and just the general feel of the season. I think being married has made it so much better too! I have someone to come home to, someone to decorate with, and for the first time, I'm doing holiday baking!! So tonight, I'm doing a bit more baking while Dave and I watch The Holiday....(which, P.S., I LOVE!!!) and wrap presents. We went on a date to Olive Garden for dinner tonight, then ran to Home Depot for our last gift of the season. Simple night, but it's nights like these that I love the best. Nothing to get up for tomorrow but a pedi, so i'm gonna stay up late, and sleep in. Dave busy wrapping, and my NEW Kitchen Aid being put to good use making peppermint brownies!!My Aunt Lori made this light box with a glass cube, filled it with lights, and then attached a cute bow on it. I loved the idea, and it looks really cute all lit up when it's plugged in.

Loveable, Huggable, Kissable

I came accross some pictures I took of Delaney and Maddie while we were out to dinner with Katie and Randy. Seriously...aren't these girlies the cutest??!!

The tree that ate Sarah

I'm guessing that when the man trimming the Christmas tree stumps at Home Depot asked us if we wanted the bottom branches cut off...he knew what he was talking about. I went to water the tree the other night, and couldn't get underneath without help. Ashley had to lift up the branches while I army crawled under it, and tried to pour a big measuring cup full of water inside it. We laughed for a while, and Dave had to take pictures of me getting attacked by our tree. Speaking of....it's time to water the tree again. Dave, wanna give it a try?

It's Christmas time people!

Here comes the tree!!
All done decorating. Dave did lights. 4 boxes of bright LED's to be exact. I did ribbon and bulbs. I must admit, I think it's pretty cute. The pictures don't do it real justice.
And I had to get a close up, because the far shots don't show detail. Also....the pictures with lights off didn't turn out good...Dave's LED's were TOO bright! (what he was going for though
