Merry Christmas....(a little late) and Happy New Year!

Christmas was shared between our families this year. We spent Christmas Eve night at Dave's Grandma's with his family, then headed to my parents and Aunt Chrissy's for Christmas afternoon. I enjoyed my extra long weekend of sleeping in and relaxing...and of course spending quality time with family and loved ones!
Dave and I being silly and posing with my aunts tree.

So my Grandma gave us some sweet ice cream scoops...and Dave made it a point to use it as a weapon.

And what would a famliy even be without my Dad sitting in a chair and reading!

New Years was spent with friends and Leslie and David at the Grave's home. I hope everyone has a happy, healthy and fabulous 2008!!!

Ah, Tis The Season!

I love Christmas time! It's by far my favorite. I love Christmas music on the radio, driving around and seeing all the lights, having hot cocoa at night (somehow it's much tastier before Dec. 25th), my Christmas tree in my living room, giving gifts (although I wish I could do SO much more) and just the general feel of the season. I think being married has made it so much better too! I have someone to come home to, someone to decorate with, and for the first time, I'm doing holiday baking!! So tonight, I'm doing a bit more baking while Dave and I watch The Holiday....(which, P.S., I LOVE!!!) and wrap presents. We went on a date to Olive Garden for dinner tonight, then ran to Home Depot for our last gift of the season. Simple night, but it's nights like these that I love the best. Nothing to get up for tomorrow but a pedi, so i'm gonna stay up late, and sleep in. Dave busy wrapping, and my NEW Kitchen Aid being put to good use making peppermint brownies!!My Aunt Lori made this light box with a glass cube, filled it with lights, and then attached a cute bow on it. I loved the idea, and it looks really cute all lit up when it's plugged in.

Loveable, Huggable, Kissable

I came accross some pictures I took of Delaney and Maddie while we were out to dinner with Katie and Randy. Seriously...aren't these girlies the cutest??!!

The tree that ate Sarah

I'm guessing that when the man trimming the Christmas tree stumps at Home Depot asked us if we wanted the bottom branches cut off...he knew what he was talking about. I went to water the tree the other night, and couldn't get underneath without help. Ashley had to lift up the branches while I army crawled under it, and tried to pour a big measuring cup full of water inside it. We laughed for a while, and Dave had to take pictures of me getting attacked by our tree. Speaking of....it's time to water the tree again. Dave, wanna give it a try?

It's Christmas time people!

Here comes the tree!!
All done decorating. Dave did lights. 4 boxes of bright LED's to be exact. I did ribbon and bulbs. I must admit, I think it's pretty cute. The pictures don't do it real justice.
And I had to get a close up, because the far shots don't show detail. Also....the pictures with lights off didn't turn out good...Dave's LED's were TOO bright! (what he was going for though

All I want for Christmas

Is one of these!
I know, obviously I can't raise one in an apartment...but still.

It's fun to wish, right?!

Adelanto

So Dave, his dad, his sister Rachel, and friends Peter & Jeff Nielsen, Brandon and Jay all went out to Adelanto to take out the jeeps and do a little shooting. It was alot of fun! I shot a few guns, did a little rock crawking with Dave, and drove the jeep for a bit. We topped the day off with some burgers and I took a nap in the car on the way home.
Good times!

Guess what?

So, Thursday night Dave and I took a second trip to the Dodge dealership where we had stopped randomly a few weeks ago. There was a great incentive on the trucks at the time, and the dealership was looking to get rid of all the 07's. The numbers didn't work out...AND we still had my Saturn to deal with. But Thursday seemed to be our day. We stopped by at night and just as we were gonna walk away, they gave us an offer that was impossible to beat. So, I am now the proud owner of an 07 Dodge Ram Megacab with a 5.7 liter Hemi!

Pizza & Root Beer

After Maddie's party Dave and I went with my friends Ashley, David, Stephanie, Alexis, and Brandon to a place in H.B called Brewbakers. You get to brew your own beer (or root beer in our case) eat pizza, and make pretzels. I had never even heard of this place, so we figured it was something a little out of the ordinary for a Friday night.

We had to roll this heavy keg thing back and forth for like fifteen minutes. It was pretty funny. After Ashley got bored rolling it, she hopped in a basket on the back of a bike and took a little ride around the parking lot.

So after we kicked the can, we bottled our own rootbeer and took it home.

It was pretty darn good!

Happy Birthday Maddie!

Yesterday was Maddie's birthday party at Chuckie Cheese. Is it ok to admit that I like that place every once in a while? I think it's just the pizza...because I definately know its not when Chuckie starts dancing with all his creepy friends. There was a nice power outage a few minutes after we got there, so we all sat in the semi-dark and waited for the lights to come back on. Eventually they did. But anywho...it was nice to see Katie, Randy, their family and some of our friends. Me and Dave are a little too old for the games, so we just sat and ate and chatted. Dave came up with a good idea for a den or bonus room once we get a house. A ball room. Like the one's there and at McDonalds. Good idea....in theory. Maybe when we have kids...cause if I were a kid, that would be awesome!

Oh and the best part was getting to hold Delaney most of the time :)

A place of our own

Well, our apartment is coming along. Slowly but surely. It seems like every time I get it really clean and tidy, something messy comes along. For example, dinner always creates a mess. Not a huge one, just one I would rather not make. But I can't leave dirty dishes. I'm not that kind of girl i've come to find. Then we get a fabulous new bedroom set!...which leaves my old stuff everywhere. But, I might have to take all my complaining back, because as I type, Dave has stuffed all my old bedding into boxes and is putting them in our storage! Anyways, I'm super excited to get our wedding pictures so I can finally put things in frames and hang stuff on the walls. But, until then, what I have is pretty cute...or I think so at least!

When Dave and I got back from our honeymoon, his sister and bro in law had got us a dining room table and set it up. We were so excited to have a place to eat!
(don't mind the big box in the background...Its a mirror we still need to hang up)When we were registering at Target, apparently Dave scanned a pig holding a chalkboard...and we got it. He loved it, and pretty much put his foot down and said we're keeping this!
So, it's in our kitchen, and he's written sweet things on it in the mornings, which is so totally cute...even though I thought the pig was icky and ugly. haha.

This weekend Dave and I got the cutest beadspread for our new bed. We're in love with it, and we're now getting things to finish up the decorating touches in the bedroom.

Mr. and Mrs. Anderson!

Well, i don't have much time (Dave is sitting next to me saying stop blogging so I can spend time with him...) so i'll keep it brief.

1. I'm married.

2. The temple was amazing. I loved seeing so many loved ones there.

3. We totally didn't feel any different driving home. Just on a mission to get a Carls burger.

4. My bridesmaids looked fabulous!

5. The reception was beautiful.

6. ...from what I remember of it.

7. Fastest 3 hours of my life.

8. I officially dispise red eye flight. Especially on wedding nights.

9. I think I drank my weight in Diet Coke on the cruise.

10. We had such a good time on the honeymoon!

11. Which brings me to the new idea Dave and I had....to retire so we can be on a constant vacation. Good idea huh?

So here's a few pics of our week in the Caribbean!!

i'll post more later!
