I'm hungry...can you tell?

Dave introduced me to Moreno's when we first started dating, and i'll admit, I didn't understand what all the to-do was about. But after the second and third try, I found my favorite dish and have been hooked ever since. Plus, we have our favorite waiter Ricardo, who totally knows us. I don't know about you, but I LOVE becoming a regular somewhere and being known. And the perks of complimentary guacamole` with our chips and salsa isn't bad either!

He's probably right. But just not today.

So, i'm a few days late starting this...so I'll post 3 things so I can catch up.

#1...Of course I have to start with the obvious....

#2...These great wide leg trousers from The Gap, which looks fierce with cute heels...

And #3... Getting my hair done...and getting blonder.

And yes, I'm sitting in a tire. The tire of this monster truck that Dave's friend built.

In my dreams

So, for those of you who may not know...I'm an HGTV and TLC fan. I LOVE shows that have anything to do with decorating, purchasing, or making over. I get all these big ideas. Someday, ah, yes someday, I will be able to put these great ideas to use in my own home. Which brings me to the point I was getting at... HGTV is having thier annual Dream Home 2008 sweepstakes. Dave likes to register daily to win, because this place is on it's own private beach in the Florida Keys.

Merry Christmas....(a little late) and Happy New Year!

Christmas was shared between our families this year. We spent Christmas Eve night at Dave's Grandma's with his family, then headed to my parents and Aunt Chrissy's for Christmas afternoon. I enjoyed my extra long weekend of sleeping in and relaxing...and of course spending quality time with family and loved ones!

So my Grandma gave us some sweet ice cream scoops...and Dave made it a point to use it as a weapon.

And what would a famliy even be without my Dad sitting in a chair and reading!

New Years was spent with friends and Leslie and David at the Grave's home. I hope everyone has a happy, healthy and fabulous 2008!!!

Ah, Tis The Season!

I love Christmas time! It's by far my favorite. I love Christmas music on the radio, driving around and seeing all the lights, having hot cocoa at night (somehow it's much tastier before Dec. 25th), my Christmas tree in my living room, giving gifts (although I wish I could do SO much more) and just the general feel of the season. I think being married has made it so much better too! I have someone to come home to, someone to decorate with, and for the first time, I'm doing holiday baking!! So tonight, I'm doing a bit more baking while Dave and I watch The Holiday....(which, P.S., I LOVE!!!) and wrap presents. We went on a date to Olive Garden for dinner tonight, then ran to Home Depot for our last gift of the season. Simple night, but it's nights like these that I love the best. Nothing to get up for tomorrow but a pedi, so i'm gonna stay up late, and sleep in. Dave busy wrapping, and my NEW Kitchen Aid being put to good use making peppermint brownies!!My Aunt Lori made this light box with a glass cube, filled it with lights, and then attached a cute bow on it. I loved the idea, and it looks really cute all lit up when it's plugged in.
