The Anderson's Annual Vegas trip, 2010

This past weekend was our annual trip to Vegas. We go every year with Josh, Jenn, and other Anderson's and friends who want to come join in the fun of Monster Jam Finals! Dave says it's a fun night to be "trashy". haha. We stayed at the MGM, and it started out a bit rocky...but they pulled it together right before I lost it at the front desk. The rest of the weekend fell into place and we had an awesome time! Saturday we went to North LV to the pawn shop on the TV show 'Pawn Stars'.
I've never seen it, but it was interesting. The line was down the street, but the inside was just a pawn shop! Saturday night was Monster Jam, which was pretty good. I can remember better years, but it's not all about that. It's about the people and the weekend as a whole!
We went to the Coach outlets, and I left a happy happy woman! We also avoided traffic by leaving on Monday, which made the weekend seem so much longer and I think we'll always do that from now on! It was a good time, with good people, and we're already planning next year.

it must be the weather...

i've got decorating on the brain again! i think it's the weather. and the time change. i love that i can get off work at 6 in the evening, get home closer to 6:45, and it's still light enough for me to do things! i can water the plants (not that i have, because we have sprinklers on timers...but i've been thinking about it!) i want to paint our guest bedroom queen bed white, and distress it. and of course, with thoughts of painting, come thoughts of lamps, art on the walls, and all the knick knacks. then thoughts of white furniture lead to thoughts of white kitchen cabinets...like this

well, i think this week i'll get started on the guest bed, so i'll keep you updated!

Sloppy Joe is a NO go!

Last nights conversation was about dinner tonight. Since we had leftover hamburger buns, i asked Dave if he liked sloppy joes. I was totally ready for him saying something like "heck no, nasty!" or "if i don't like spaghetti, why would i like sloppy joes?". BUT, he said sure. So, I made it, according to the Lawry's packet. This is what we had.



And the result was only a half eaten sloppy joe, and this.

I can check that dinner off of any future menus!

First timer

I'm blogging tonight via my phone. Well, I don't know if this will count as a legitimate post, since it's more like a trial run. I also need to focus on Modern Family, which I love and we're watching right now. Don't wanna miss Cam, love him!
