So this past weekend Dave and I took a vacation to Yosemite and stayed with Katie and Randy at Housekeeping in the valley. It was my first trip ever to Yosemite, and I LOVED it! It was so beautiful. We went up on Friday and came home on Monday. While we were there we visited Glacier Point, went rafting on the river (which was more like a creek/stream, and the rafting was more like pushing ourselves along the rocks and through the sandbars), played alot of skipBo, and took a bike ride to the meadow, saw a bear across the river in our first ten minutes there, and got really close to deer that would eat by our campsite. The falls were more like a trickle (according to other people, seeing as how i've never seen them before).
Dave spent his time relaxing and making friends with the squirrels. (If you're an animal lover, read on with caution...) which I came to find out was just an act, he really wanted to capture them and after that do who knows what with them.
He got only as far as to catch one in a box. Then let it go.
I totally want to go back next year and explore more and see what we didn't have time to. It was the getaway that I needed, and we had a great time!
Dave and I were married in 2007 and have settled in lovely Rancho Santa Margarita. Dave works in commercial real estate and I am lucky to be able to stay home and be a Mom and wife. Dave loves cars and rock climbing in the Jeep. I love a good diet coke and pedicures. We fill our time with family, friends and enjoying this life we live!
"You will have significant experiences. I hope you will write them down and keep a record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build upon another until the represent a lifetime of special experiences.
