Dave & Oscar

We were hanging out with David and Leslie on Friday night, and Dave discovered Oscar, their fish. I swear he did this for like an hour. It was hilarious. Now I'm just worried that he'll do this to our kids when we have children. haha.

Ingredients for a relaxing weekend in San Clemente:

SeT tEmPeRaTuRe To 70 dEgReEs.

serves 2.

1. Add lots of water and a 1/4 cup bubble bath. Get in. Relax.

2. Pour in the sounds of waves outside your bedroom, fall asleep.

3. Don't set an alarm. Wake up when you're good and ready.

4. Mix in some Mexican food for lunch at a fun hole in the wall restaurant down the street (and Dave taking random pictures).

5. Add in a walk down to the pier. Breathe in the ocean air.

6. Stir in ingredients for some peanut butter cookies, add a glass of milk, turn on the fireplace and enjoy.

Birthday & the Beach

Last Thursday was Dave's Birthday! He turned 27, so of course we had to celebrate. Dave and I, Leslie, David, Dan, Coco, Josh, Jenn, and Katie all went to dinner at Moreno's. It was a good time, full of lots of conversation and chips and salsa. Dave of couse had to wear a sombrero and got complimentary flan (which I ate because he thinks flan is the most disgusting thing ever) haha.

Then for the weekend Dave and I went down to

and spend some time together. On Saturday the family came down to meet us for lunch at the Fishhouse on the pier.

That night Katie and Randy drove down to have dinner and watch a movie, which was great cause we love them! Sunday Ashley came down for a little tanning, which was kind-of overcast, but hey, i'm a slight shade darker, so I won't complain! I think I want to retire...and just relax e.v.e.r.y.d.a.y.

What's Better Than Idol Night?

31 cent scoop night at Baskin Robbins! We are fans of dollar scoop Tuesdays, and of ice cream in general for that matter, but seriously.....does it get any better than 31 cents? I think not! Between watching last nights idol and tonights show, we headed down the street to get our ice cream on. Ashley stepped in dog poo just before she stepped into my truck, so we we're off to a slightly rocky start. But she made it thru the gag reflex, threw her sandal in my truck bed, and we headed over there. Enough scoops to last us like 5 nights later...here we are, some happy ice cream lovers.

Vegas baby!

Last weekend we packed our bags and headed to sin city....but not to sin. We went for the Monster Jam world finals, which has become a tradition with Dave and I. Katie and Randy came too, which was SO much fun because it's a rare occasion to get them children-less...let alone for a whole weekend! Dave and I split a suite at a time share with his cousins Josh and Jenn, which was awsome! This place was literally two seperate suites, all for the fabulous price of one! Katie and Randy were two floors below in the same tower, which was totally fun!It was a busy quick weekend, but totally fun getting to spend time with our friends and family! We spent some fun time chatting in our rooms, window shopping at the malls, eating too much at buffets, and of course yelling and jumping around at Monster Jam. The only thing I hate about weekend getaways is how quickly the weekend flies by. Now I want to take a good long trip...and with my friends so we can spend more time together!

Wednesday Night Traditions

Every Wednesday for over the last month, my friend Ashley comes over to watch American Idol.

(This is Ashley and I kicking a can of rootbeer around)I'll admit, we're fans. (But not the call in and vote kind. Just the sit on the couch and totally critique their performance kind). I started off making dinner for us, which is so much fun, because dinner for two gets pretty boring. Not to mention my husband is kind-of picky, and we always have left overs! Now Ashley brings dinner every other week, which is awesome of her, seeing as how she is so busy with school and work. She's brought over two crock pot creations in the last couple weeks, which have been delicious! Mmmm! So Dave, Ashley and I watch Tuesday nights recorded episode, and then watch that nights right after. I don't know what it is about this little ritual, but it totally gives me something to look forward to every week!
Oh, and we always have some type of dessert...which makes the night even better!

Piece of Scrap

I've jumped back into the world of scrapbooking, after much too long. I can honestly say these are the FiRsT pictures of Dave and I that i've completed. ever. And we're married!! I feel a little rusty, and I'm in need of some new supplies (amazing how much new stuff comes out in just over a year!) but i'm excited. Dave's cousin's wife Jenn and I spent pretty much ALL afternoon and into the evening Saturday working on these and talking. It was great! We're gonna do it often. These are all honeymoon pictures, and some pages aren't done just yet. I need some cute new things to make them complete!
